The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the seamless operation and maintenance of the local IT infrastructure. This includes providing robust support for end-users and their computing devices, managing IT services and security, and supporting both local and central projects. The role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and security of the IT environment, ensuring compliance with IT policies and procedures, managing vendor relationships, overseeing IT-related contracts, and contributing to the budgeting and forecasting process for IT infrastructure projects. Additionally, the position involves providing basic IT support for production systems / warehouses. Your responsiblities will be to manage and maintain local IT infrastructure including servers (physical / virtual), storage, networks (LAN, WAN, routers, switches, WLCs, APs), end user computing devices (notebooks, desktops, tablets, scanners, printers, ups devices, etc.) and security (backup / restore, antivirus, firewall). Manage local systems, services and access right requests Install and support end user computing devices (desktops, notebooks, mobiles, etc…) in line with IT policies Provide user support (on-site / remote) at the assigned locations on the basis of user requests. Administer related work in Service Desk according to relevant processes and procedures Provide support for all local printing Keep records of all hardware and software inventory up-to-date in ServiceDesk. Manage local IT relevant contracts, keep in touch with vendors and ensure that proper maintenance services are delivered Manage local IT infrastructure related license Experience: 3+ years of experience in providing and managing IT infrastructure / back-office systems and end user support of a mid-size multinational company (500-1000 users) Extensive experience in managing physical and virtual servers, storage devices, IT systems / services, network and end user computing devices Experience of working with 3rd party service providers and support companies including contracting for services and SLA management Skills / Abilities: Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware / Hyper-V) Strong IT skills and knowledge including hardware, software, networks and IT services Solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices Experience in managing IT projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring. Ability to provide effective and timely end-user support. Excellent troubleshooting skills Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Open, communicative team player with high customer orientation Ability to manage various parallel running initiatives Good analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to understand the downstream impacts of any planned change in the IT Infrastructure.
